Historic Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum invites you to participate in our Tribute to our Veterans and Heroes of Public Service. We proudly welcome back our Flags of Honor Display.

This tribute will honor ALL VETERANS, MILITARY PERSONNEL and HEROES OF PUBLIC SERVICE, those who serve to protect our communities every day. The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States realizes that duties performed in the fields of law enforcement and emergency services, whether carried out in public view with the ensuing public acclaim, or performed in ways which gain little public recognition, are both exemplary and of great value to the nation.

Your Sponsorship Includes

• A 3' x 5' US Flag, placed along the roadways within the cemetery
• An Honored Hero Acrylic Plaque at the base of a flagpole
• Flags and Plaques will be on display November 10-16, 2024
• Acrylic Plaques will be available to pick up starting November 18, 2024

Sponsored US Flags

100 - 3’ x 5’ sponsored US flags will be placed along the roadways within the cemetery and will be on display November 10-16, 2024. You and your family have the opportunity to honor those who are close to your heart by sponsoring one or more of these flags for $25 each.

Honored Hero Plaques

Each sponsored flag will be identified by an acrylic plaque at the base of the flagpole. The plaque will contain the name of the honoree, any pertinent information about the honoree shared by the sponsor, and a photo of the honoree (if provided).

All veterans and service personnel are eligible, whether living or deceased. There are also no restrictions as to where a deceased honoree is buried.

After the flags are removed for storage, the laminated card will be available for sponsoring families to retrieve in the Customer Service Center at the cemetery the following week. A map depicting the location of each flag will be available in the Customer Service Center.

Flags of Honor Proceeds

The proceeds from sponsorships will be distributed to Honor Flight Tristate and the Spring Grove Heritage Foundation. We hope you will consider this a great and unique opportunity to both honor a Veteran or Public Servant that is special to you and to help support these worthy causes.
